The Global Head Product Quality is accountable to ensure QA oversight of Specialty Care Manufacturing Sites, EMO and Global Tech Ops function such as Engineering and MS&T…to ensure that all applicable GxP duties are performed across site in an harmonized, efficient and compliant manner in alignment with Ipsen QMS.

  • Accountable to ensure that state of compliance of different units is maintained;
  • Ensure Quality processes across units are harmonized as much as possible;
  • Identify and drive opportunity for continuous improvement across units;
  • As a leader of quality organization define appropriate organization set up to;
  • ensure deliverables meets Ipsen needs and stakeholders expectations (GMLT,..);
  • Provide strategic, functional, and operational quality leadership to his/her teams and its stakeholders;
  • Provide Ipsen with strategic assessment of state of compliance of all operations and organizations accountable for;
  • BPO of some key Quality processes such as QSEB, Inspection Readiness, Complaints.

Main responsibilities/job expectations


  • Provide professional expertise and support to the GMLT Community;
  • Drive critical Quality issues and associated decision patch;
  • Define appropriate organizational structures, measures and management review processes and report on the performance of the different units;
  • Manage talent selection, training, development, succession planning and performance management of his/her team;
  • Build and Lead Product Quality functional team;
  • Provide leadership, clear objectives and guidance on Quality deliverables expected within the different units accountable for and monitor associated performance;
  • As a Quality Leader, act as an ambassador of Ipsen Quality Culture;
  • Challenge the status Quo and seek for continuous improvement approach and associated optimization/savings.

Provide GxP Guidance

  • Provide continuous Quality support, expertise, and guidance to all functional areas accountable for;
  • Ensure inspection readiness of all units;
  • Set Strategy to address Quality Topics that need to be managed at global level to ensure alignment across units;
  • Ensures operational best practice, processes are defined and implemented in a harmonized manner;
  • Define and drives Quality Improvement plan for units accountable for;
  • Communicate issues, project updates, and project proposals to internal stakeholders and management.

Knowledge, abilities & experience

  • Ability to operate in a multicultural international environment;
  • Demonstrated leadership management experience and problem solving;
  • Ability to manage Critical Quality Topics by balancing all risks (Patients, Compliance, Quality, Supply, Medical);
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and work collaboratively with team members at all levels;
  • Recognized and proven Leader who can motivate his/her people to deliver outstanding results with or without hierarchical relationships, and through well-developed emotional intelligence;
  • Possess entrepreneurial skills in terms of innovation and problem-solving;
  • Have tenacity, pragmatism, tough-mindedness, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization;
  • Have the ability to build strong working relationships across different functions;
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions in his area and communicate clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations;
  • High learning agility; willingness to take in broad perspectives and adapt strategies & operations to reach best-in-class;
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical operations and associated GxP expectations;
  • Minimum 15 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry ideally in Operations, Quality and Global Role;
  • Fluency in English, French is an added advantage;
  • Operational Excellence (Lean, Six Sigma, PMO…).
