We are looking for a highly motivated immunologist to join our team of scientists and contribute towards the development of novel biotherapeutics, focusing on human immunology and assay development. This is a research-based role, working to discover therapeutics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Individuals must bring technical skills, enthusiasm and provide a positive addition to company culture. Our dream candidate will have immune cell assay experience, including tissue culture of primary immune cells, cell line engineering and expertise in multi-colour flow cytometry. They may have experience in biotech or pharma, with familiarity of pre-clinical screening and the development of therapeutics, ideally biologics. Strong scientific credentials, ability to troubleshoot creatively and work effectively with other scientists to deliver clear conclusions is required.

We are looking for someone who is scientifically curious, and ready to make an impact in an exciting new therapeutic space.   • Generate relevant hypotheses and design novel experiments;
  • Rigorous benchwork and data analysis. Perform a range of techniques to a high-level of delivery (including but not limited to immune cell isolation and culture, flow cytometry, binding assays, cell death assays, internalisation and Incucyte live cell analysis);
  • Document research findings clearly in an electronic lab book;
  • Demonstrate scientific rigour in assessing own data and that of others;
  • Clear communication with other members of the team and presentation of research findings with colleagues internally and in partner institutions;
  • Contribute to project discussions and in wider project planning, including ideas for new research projects;
  • Maintain high level of expertise through review of scientific literature. Serve as a major contributor in preparation of manuscripts and patent applications;
  • Collaborate with internal teams, as well as external experts, CROs and academic groups, to leverage opportunities, establish best practices, and deliver innovation.
