The Sales Rep is responsible for all sales in Hospital channel, leading the company goals within her/his defined large domestic territory, developing new accounts and expanding existing ones, in accordance with the overall margin strategy. (S)he is in charge of developing new business opportunities through direct product promotion, in order to increase market share for the assigned Hillrom product lines.

Main responsibilities

  • Achieve challenging regional sales targets in collaboration with sales manager, focusing on revenue growth and right product mix and leading strategic company goals;
  • Plan own territory/account approach, networking with distributors and sales agents;
  • Provide, monitor and maintain regular forecast information in the funnel tool;
  • Develop local product strategies through dedicated market analysis;
  • Provide financial packages to tender bids;
  • Address the entire Hospital decision chain with the right messages to the right players;
  • Implement Safe Patient Handling/Patient Support Systems promotional programs, liaising with Marketing and Clinical team;
  • Initiate demos in Hillrom and competitor accounts, being recognized as product expert and providing product trainings;
  • Work with Commercial Operations team with the aim to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Manage forecasting tools with a clear medium-term vision.

Education, experience and qualifications

  • University degree in biomedical engineering or in the health field;
  • At least 3 years of field sales experience, preferably gained in medical devices industry with proven results in Hospitals;
  • Clinical approach based;
  • Experience in reaching the whole Hospital decision chain and to negotiate at high Hospital levels;
  • Experience on tendering/capital lease/rental business would be considered as a plus;
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and CRM Applications;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Medium term planning and forecasting capabilities.
