For further expansion of our Research and Discovery team, we are seeking a motivated Scientist with a PhD and broad knowledge and experience in the field of antibody engineering and manufacturing of complex formats.
Your role will be supportive to the teams in clinical development. More specifically you will be the expert in the latest (clinical) developments for the generation of bi/multispecific antibodies. You have a good understanding of the different antibody building blocks and you are able to design complex constructs with and without Fc including VHH-scFv-Fabs placed at different positions and using different types of linkers.
You will guide and advise the teams on the construction of different antibody formats. You design the constructs and propose vector ratios to test during transfection. You provide guidance on purification methods and are able to interpret protein production QC data. Sometimes hands-on work may be required.
As scientist you will work closely with colleagues and external partners to characterize and better understand the manufacturability of these novel antibody therapeutics. You will use your knowledge, critical thinking, scientific and patent literature and academic contacts to help define research plans and experiments and you will contribute to scientific publications, patents and reports.
You will need to prioritize your workflow, efficiently use resources and follow challenging timelines to achieve the project goals. You should be able to work independently and direct the research and day-to-day responsibilities of others, preferably by helping his or her team of research associates on the work floor. Candidate must have good communication skills in English - our corporate language - and should be able to work well in a team.
