Role & Function

As Associate Director Global Scientific Affairs Immunology & Specialty Care, you will be accountable for all aspects of scientific communications for assigned Immunology & Specialty Care assets, including strategy, planning and execution of congress abstracts, presentations, publications, and activities, as well as medical education and training. The Associate Director will liaise with Medical Affairs colleagues and other cross-functional matrix/regional partners to lead and contribute to the preparation, development, and execution of impactful medical communications that enhance the value of Sobi’s innovations for patients, physicians, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the scientific communications strategy for assigned assets within Immunology & Specialty Care
  • Lead the global publication plan (manuscripts, abstracts, presentations), ensuring alignment with the Global Medical & Scientific Affairs and brand strategies
  • Work with the cross-functional teams to define appropriate medical communication solutions to support product/disease area strategy implementation across geographies
  • Identify and prioritize key training needs of the affiliates, and develop and conduct programs to address those needs
  • Lead the development efforts for external medical education and training
  • Contribute to innovative digital/multichannel approaches for the dissemination of medical materials
  • Stay abreast of internal and external developments relevant to the assigned assets
  • Manage relationships with external medical communication agencies, prioritize, and delegate activities

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD) and/or certification in scientific medical field (i.e., PharmD);
  • Professional experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (2+ years) or related experience in a medical communications agency (5+ years);
  • CMPP certified;
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral;
  • High command of English language;
  • Strong scientific background with ability to analyse, interpret, and present data to diverse target audiences strategic thinking;
  • Other European languages a bonus.
