YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE

As a Senior Consultant in LCA/Footprinting, you collaborate closely with the Business Unit Manager and Managing Director of Mérieux NutriSciences l Blonk' to drive new business and project development, manage client relationships, and lead a team of experts. Your primary focus is on expanding and delivering high-quality LCA/Footprinting services within the Agro-Food sector, offering specialized expertise, strategic advice, and actionable insights. On a day to day you are responsible for:

  • Client Engagement: Leading market assessments and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Client’s needs Assessment: Understanding clients' sustainability challenges and tailoring solutions to their requirements;
  • Project Management: Overseeing contracts, developing work processes, and ensuring project implementation within agreed timelines and budgets;
  • Team Leadership: Providing guidance to junior and medior experts and fostering a supportive team culture focused on growth and wellbeing;
  • Continuous Learning: Staying updated on industry trends and utilizing feedback to enhance service offerings and meet evolving client needs and industry standards.

YOUR PROFILE

You have:

  • at least 5 years of work experience in conducting Life Cycle Assessments or equivalent working experience preferably within the Agro-Food sector;
  • a bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, environmental engineering, or related field;
  • strong knowledge of specific industries, such as manufacturing, agriculture, or energy, and understanding their environmental impact considerations;
  • solid background on international LCA standards, such as ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, and an understanding of relevant regional regulations related to environmental impact assessments;
  • excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
  • ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive results through collaboration and innovation.

You are fluent in English and ready to commute regularly in our Dutch office based in Gouda in the Netherlands during the first months of your employment to be onboarded and trained on the company methodologies and tools.
