About the job

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) within Vaccines, you will be responsible for providing balanced, non-promotional high-level scientific and technical partnership to internal and external stakeholders for the benefit of patient care. You will be a highly valued member of an experienced and dynamic team that is accountable for the management and roll out of the Scientific Engagement Model (SEM).

Main responsibilities

  • Work to ensure that any unsolicited request for information from Healthcare professionals (HCPs) is provided in an unbiased and accurate manner
  • Provide scientific and technical leadership to ensure professional and credible relationships with thought leaders and experts
  • Lead projects in the delivery of the field-based objectives described in the Country Medical Plan
  • Collaborate with Medical Advisors, Scientific Advisors, divisional teams and appropriate personnel to execute the medical plans in the field
  • Identify, collect and internally provide insights into medical and scientific field intelligence – for example, competitor research and medical strategies, educational activities
  • Contribute to managing late phase clinical trials through motivational and educational support in conjunction with the global clinical development team to ensure success of trials. Facilitate development of Investigator Study Proposals in accordance with Sanofi policy

About you

Experience:

  • Previous MSL experience and vaccines therapy area is preferable
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and of regulatory processes (Code of Practice and MHRA)
  • Working knowledge of the NHS, including the ability to understand clinical priorities and how processes work within this system
  • Awareness of clinical studies set up and maintenance-preferable

Soft skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, experienced in the delivery of scientific presentations
  • Adaptable, independent and proactive working style
  • Able to build strong working relationships to achieve optimal outcomes for patients

Technical skills:

  • Competent to critically appraise studies and clinical evidence to allow engagement on higher scientific level with stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate and share information to contribute to the planning process and execute the agreed Medical plan in line with objectives
  • Full UK driving license

Education:

  • Educated to master’s degree level or equivalent with a scientific qualification
