About the role

As Medical Lead Immunology ECE (East Central Europe), you will provide strategic, scientific, and people leadership for the Immunology medical organization in the East Central Europe Cluster (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary).

You will be accountable for setting and executing the medical strategy across the region, ensuring alignment with global and regional priorities, and for leading, developing, and inspiring a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Medical Solution Leads.

You will act as a senior medical leader and scientific expert, shaping the value story of UCB’s immunology portfolio and ensuring high-quality scientific exchange with both internal and external stakeholders, always in line with the highest ethical and compliance standards.

Who you’ll work with

You will work with the Head of Medical for the East Central Europe Cluster, regional and global Immunology and Medical Affairs colleagues, and supportive cross-functional partners across commercial, market access, evidence generation, and ecosystem teams. And collaborate with external healthcare experts, advocacy partners, and decision-makers, building trusted scientific dialogue grounded in ethics and compliance.

The Immunology MSLs and Medical Solution Leads in the ECE Cluster report directly to this role.

What you’ll do

  • Enable regional medical strategic direction aligned with global and European priorities;
  • Foster development for your team of Medical Science Liaisons and Medical Solution Leads;
  • Welcome and support medical talent across countries in the cluster;
  • Subject matter expert in immunology, ensuring strong therapeutic area acumen across the organization;
  • Ensure high-quality field planning, execution, and activity follow-up;
  • Translate complex evidence and data into clear, patient-relevant insights for stakeholders;
  • Cultivate compliant collaboration with partners and external healthcare experts.

  • Master or PhD in a scientific discipline; advanced medical or doctoral degree is valued;
  • Strong Medical Affairs, and leadership experience enabling teams’ growth, coaching, and supportive performance conversations;
  • Expertise in immunology or a closely related therapeutic area;
  • Strong understanding of clinical development, study management, and real‑world evidence;
  • Experience working in cross‑functional, regional, or matrix environments;
  • Digital literacy and comfort working in evolving medical ecosystems;
  • Successful experience in shaping strategic medical plans and following through from idea to patient impact;
  • Fluency in English, Polish and or Czech depending on your location, and travel readiness in the region are valued.
