Meet the team:

Our Medical Affairs team is growing, recognising the important impact that medical advice and education plays in shaping the future of diabetes management using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology. As a key member of the cross functional team, you will be at the forefront of scientific engagement, working closely with; and educating; healthcare professionals, many of whom will have limited experience of the life changing power of Dexcom CGM systems.

This role will give you the opportunity to influence and shape clinical practice, collaborate with thought leaders, and – most importantly – make a real impact on the lives of people living with diabetes. You will be joining a Medical Affairs team that fully understands the impact that a highly communicative, dynamic and forward-thinking individual can have on health systems and the future of patient care. If you are passionate about improving the lives of people living with diabetes, you will feel at home at Dexcom.

Where you come in:

As a Medical Affairs Advisor at Dexcom, you will:

  • Engage with healthcare professionals to build and maintain strong scientific and clinical relationships, ensuring that Dexcom’s CGM is well integrated into clinical practice.
  • Deliver impactful medical education to healthcare professionals, ensuring that they understand the clinical impact of CGM technology.
  • Respond to medical inquiries with evidence-based information, ensuring both healthcare professionals and internal teams have accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Support clinical and real-world evidence generation, including identifying potential future partners and supporting evidence dissemination.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, staying ahead of industry trends and providing strategic insights to internal teams.
  • Represent Dexcom at conferences and medical events, sharing scientific and clinical expertise, and gathering insights from healthcare professionals and scientists to shape future strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, market access, marketing and clinical teams to align medical strategies with business objectives.

What makes you successful:

  • You are a highly effective communicator, able to engage with all healthcare professionals regardless of stature, and internal teams with confidence and credibility.
  • You have a strong scientific mindset with the ability to interpret and translate complex scientific and clinical data into meaningful insights.
  • Your experience in medical affairs, whilst not mandatory, will enable you to quickly leverage your existing network, enhancing your ability to quickly and effectively raise awareness of Dexcom’s CGM technology.
  • Your clinical background in diabetes, whilst not mandatory, will enable you to speak with authority about Dexcom’s CGM technology and provide best-in-class medical education.

Travel Required:

  • 15-25%.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience.
