Associate Scientist II/ Scientist I

Ryvu Therapeutics

Kraków, Poland

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Scientist with hands-on experience in biochemical and biophysical assays to support our drug discovery projects. This role combines experimental work with data analysis and offers the opportunity to contribute to hit identification and validation in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, optimize, and perform biochemical and biophysical assays such as SPR, BLI, MST, ITC, TR-FRET, AlphaLISA, and enzymatic assays;
  • Support hit-finding and fragment screening campaigns, including validation of direct target engagement using appropriate assay platforms;
  • Analyze datasets, interpret results, and contribute to experimental planning and scientific discussions;
  • Troubleshoot assay development and screening challenges, proposing practical solutions;
  • Collaborate with the protein production team to evaluate the suitability of protein constructs for specific assay formats;
  • Assess assay feasibility for novel protein targets;
  • Present scientific results during internal meetings and contribute to assay documentation, including SOPs;
  • Support routine maintenance of laboratory instruments and management of assay-related reagents, sensors, and consumables;
  • Share knowledge and support other team members when new methods are introduced.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Master’s degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field;
  • Proven hands-on experience in biomolecular interaction studies and assays with recombinant proteins, utilizing biophysical techniques (such as SPR, BLI, MST, ITC, or FTS) and biochemical methods (such as TR-FRET, AlphaLISA, and enzymatic assays with luminometric detection);
  • Good understanding of binding kinetics and enzymology;
  • Experience with protein-small molecule or protein-fragment interaction analysis will be a strong advantage;
  • Good data analysis skills (MS Excel, GraphPad Prism, or similar), with Power BI considered a plus;
  • Strong attention to detail, good work organization, and a proactive, collaborative mindset;
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, at minimum B2 level.
