Main Responsibilities

Model Characterization and Validation

  • Conduct molecular and immuno-phenotypic characterization studies of genetically modified rodent models using state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies
  • Design, organize, and execute validation experiments for new transgenic models, ensuring alignment with project milestones and timelines
  • Collaborate closely with principal investigators, project pharmacologists, and Sanofi researchers to define and meet specific research project needs

Technical Expertise and Analysis

  • Perform advanced multicolor spectral flow cytometry (15+ colors) including panel design, optimization, and critical data interpretation
  • Conduct unsupervised flow cytometry analysis using platforms such as OMIQ and FlowJo
  • Characterize diverse immune and non-immune cell sub-populations by cytometry
  • Culture murine primary cells including isolation (magnetic and FACS cell sorting), culture, activation, and differentiation

Data Management and Reporting

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure quality and integrity of all data collected through proper compilation and entry into database systems
  • Manage electronic laboratory notebooks and maintain rigorous documentation standards
  • Apply statistical analysis methods using Prism and other relevant software

Strategic Collaboration

  • Maintain interactive working relationships with model providers, CROs, colleagues, and key stakeholders
  • Provide expert guidance on transgenic research models and recommend optimal validation strategies
  • Share knowledge through monthly oral presentations and collaborative discussions with multidisciplinary teams
  • Implement and recommend new procedures to enhance model development processes

Laboratory Operations

  • Conduct mice experimentation at Designer level: genotyping, breeding, injections (IP, IV), in vivo immunization, and sample processing
  • Follow HSE requirements to implement and expand laboratory activities
  • Contribute to laboratory management and best practice development
