As a Senior Scientist, you will deliver technical solutions to accelerate the development of purification processes for complex biotherapeutic treatments, helping maintain Lonza’s position as a leading global CDMO.

What you will do

• Plan and execute studies in support of technology or process development projects;
• Independently manage high-throughput (HTP) purification workflows and troubleshoot equipment;
• Organize, curate, and analyze large datasets from primary recovery and purification studies;
• Author high-quality technical reports and publications, providing scientifically supported conclusions;
• Contribute to the assessment and implementation of emerging purification technologies;
• Maintain laboratory organization, ensure data integrity, and comply with cGxP and safety standards;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D Analytical, HTP Automation, Bioinformatics, and Purification Operations.

What we are looking for

• BSc or BEng in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering (MSc/PhD preferred);
• Business fluent in English;
• Advanced laboratory experience in DSP unit operations, including chromatography method development, scale-up, and process optimization;
• Proven ability to troubleshoot purification equipment and apply analytical data for process decisions;
• Strong scientific knowledge with the ability to analyze complex datasets and translate concepts into practical applications;
• Experience in authoring SOPs, technical reports, and driving continuous improvement initiatives;
• Demonstrated collaboration, agility, customer focus, and results-driven behavior.
