We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our Antibody Discovery team within a CRO environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, optimization and execution of recombinant antibodies and other proteins production workflows across multiple expression systems, as well as the implementation of antibody cell-based assays supporting client research programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize expression of recombinant proteins, antibodies and VHH in bacterial and mammalian systems.
- Perform transient transfections and support development of stable expression systems.
- Execute small- to mid-scale protein production.
- Purify proteins using affinity, ion exchange and size exclusion chromatography (ÄKTA/FPLC experience is a plus).
- Perform protein characterization using SDS-PAGE, Western blot and SEC-HPLC.
- Maintain adherent and suspension mammalian cell lines.
- Develop and perform cell-based functional assays (e.g. proliferation, apoptosis).
- Experience with PBMCs or primary blood cells is an advantage.
- Analyze biological data and troubleshoot basic assay variability.
- Plan and execute experiments in line with project goals.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
- Prepare technical reports and participate in project meetings.
Your Background
- MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
