The Role

The Formulation Development department within Almac Pharma Services is responsible for the development of new product formulations and processes used in the manufacture of new and existing drug products. The team of highly-skilled scientists are directly involved in the formulation and development of medicinal products across a variety of dosage forms including tablets, capsules, and powders.

The Formulation Development Scientist will operate a range of equipment, collect information, and maintain accurate documentation. Practical problem solving and effective communication with team members across various departments will be key, along with critical interpretation of experimental data.

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role, we are looking for you to have:

• Eligibility to work in the UK or possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time, permanent employment in the UK.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacy, Chemical/Process Engineering or a similar scientific or engineering discipline.
• Excellent working/theoretical knowledge of processes to include Wet Granulation; Dry Granulation; Fluid Bed Coating/Drying; Encapsulation; Tabletting and Tablet Coating.
• Previous experience in formulation development of solid oral dosage forms would be strongly beneficial, as would experience working in a technical role within the pharmaceutical industry.
