Currently we are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented candidate to create, communicate and execute DMPK strategy as a project representative person within integrated discovery project teams, facilitating the identification and development of drug candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within multiple cross-functional teams, in particular Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology, to identify and progress candidate molecules from hit-finding through to candidate selection;
• Design and direct research strategies and activities to meet program objectives as the DMPK expert within project teams;
• Provide guidance, design, analyze and interpret ADME, PK, PK/PD studies to support compound design, selection and project progression;
• Conduct human PK and dose prediction using routine approaches;
• Contribute to Business Development activities (e.g. proposal preparation, discussions with potential clients);
• Develop and mentor junior team members;
• Provide project leadership, timelines, and contingency plans.

Your Background

• A degree in relevant scientific discipline, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences with > 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry;
• Broad understanding of the overall drug discovery process and experience serving on project teams and managing ADME/PK screening strategies in drug discovery projects;
• Experience in PK modelling using software packages e.g. GastroPlus® PBPK & PBBM Software, Phoenix WinNonLin;
• Strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to interact and conduct strategic planning with colleagues in other scientific disciplines.
