As Sr Principal scientist within our Immune tolerance and autoimmunity cluster, you’ll develop innovative therapeutic approaches and identify novel targets in autoimmunity, leveraging your expertise to design groundbreaking preclinical studies, mentor team members, and collaborate across functions to advance transformative science for patients. Main responsibilities:
- Lead innovative projects and research activities to develop differentiated and high value projects and manage research programs in the emerging area of immune tolerance, immune regulation and autoimmunity
- Advance cutting-edge science to enable continual innovation through the identification of new targets and disruptive therapeutic approaches in the field of Immune tolerance and autoimmunity
- Apply scientific expertise and judgement to initiate, design, direct and execute preclinical study experiments and/or studies in support of research project goals in a time sensitive manner
- Act as an impactful contributor and leader of project teams and transverse and cross-functional initiatives
- Work across R&D organization to test and advance innovative projects, hypotheses and methodologies: encourages curiosity and challenges the status quo in order to foster innovation
- Mentor, motivate and train a laboratory team, including Sr technicians, scientists and eventually PhD student and post-docs
- Provide strong scientific and technical leadership in the design and execution of a broad range of complex immune tolerance assays to elucidate mechanism of action and understand disease biology
- Participate to the evaluation of preclinical/clinical-stage in-licencing and collaboration opportunities
- Create and maintain a work environment in which scientific excellence and innovation in immunology are fostered
About you
Experience:
- Leading-edge knowledge of Immunology including T/B cell biology or innate immunity and relevant experience in the immunology/inflammation related disease areas
- Demonstrated ability to identify new targets using genetic, transcriptomics or other bioinformatics analysis is desirable
- Hands-on manager of people at different levels including technicians, PhD, scientists
- Track record of developing efficient discovery processes and leading complex cross-functional team collaborations, including managing relationships with internal and external collaborators

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: impactful oral and written communication
- Strong scientific curiosity and rigor, excellent interpersonal, technical and analytic skills, high ethical standards
- Fast learner, flexibility to rapidly change priorities and deadlines and ability to lead others through change in a dynamic, fast paced industry and work environment
Education:
- PhD level in Immunology, with a relevant academic research (post doc) and/or industrial experience
Languages:
- English, (French desirable)
