Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in non-promotional, peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) in nephrology, hematology and related rare diseases, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and contributing to innovative healthcare partnerships.
- Gather and leverage insights from the nephrology/hematology therapeutic area to contribute to the local medical strategy and plan (LMP), ensuring effective execution of the Field Medical Plan (FMP).
- Deliver high-quality scientific communications and medical education on nephrology/hematology disease awareness and related rare diseases, addressing medical information inquiries in a timely and compliant manner.
- Support the implementation and execution of company-sponsored clinical trials and Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISSs) in nephrology/hematology, whilst exploring real-world evidence (RWE) generation opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization, providing nephrology/hematology subject-matter expertise to other strategic functions (e.g., CE&C, Marketing, Access, and Commercial teams).
- Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with Sobi SOPs/guidance, local regulations, and industry codes, including prompt communication of adverse events to the Pharmacovigilance department.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned product(s) and the nephrology/hematology therapeutic area, as well as relevant rare disease areas, through continuous professional development and participation in training sessions, seminars, and literature reviews.
- Manage administrative responsibilities efficiently, including customer relationship management tools and expense reporting.
Qualifications
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or other post-graduate degree in health/life sciences, with preferable experience in a medical/clinical science function role (minimum 2–3 years), ideally within nephrology/hematology and rare diseases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively with KOLs, HCPs, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Adaptable, results-oriented professional capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, field-based environment.
- Proven ability to create and foster effective scientific relationships in nephrology with KOLs and other stakeholders, translating complex clinical and scientific data into actionable insights for physicians and improved patient care.
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare system, nephrology treatment landscape, and regulatory guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance, quality, and integrity in all activities and behaviours.
- Preferable experience in rare diseases, nephrology-focused new products, and launch activities.
