Main roles & responsibilities
- Provide hands-on training and support for colleagues on chromatographic workstations, new protein production workflows and affinity measurements ensuring seamless adoption and optimal use of these technologies.
- Develop and implement optimized workflows for protein production, potency, and affinity assessments, ensuring that these processes are efficient, reliable, and aligned with our research goals.
- Train and support new colleagues in the adoption of new workflows and technologies, ensuring a smooth handover and minimal disruption to our research activities.
- Collaborate with our Bio-IT team to validate and optimize AI tools, focusing on their practical application in the lab and potential to drive meaningful improvements in antibody discovery and development.
- Work closely with colleagues to assess the effectiveness of new workflows and AI tools, identifying areas for optimization and providing recommendations for implementation.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and methods, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and contributing to our team's ongoing innovation and improvement.
Professional experience/expertise
- Understanding of laboratory techniques and methodologies, including protein purification, characterization, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with chromatographic workstations, protein production workflows and biophysical techniques (BLI, SPR, ITC, HPLC) is a plus.
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology).
- Keen to learn AI tools and machine learning concepts and how they can augment existing workflows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
- A results-driven approach, motivated by the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our research activities and contribute to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics.
- Ability to think critically and creatively, with a passion for optimizing workflows and improving laboratory processes.
