The Discovery and Partnerships cluster within the Immunology and Inflammation Research Therapeutic Area bridges internal and external innovation, supporting target validation and preclinical development of therapeutic molecules.

Main responsibilities

Lead from the lab:

  • Independently formulate research hypotheses and apply scientific expertise to conceptualize, design, and execute experiments in this full-time lab-based role;
  • Work collaboratively with multifunctional teams across Sanofi to leverage tools and expertise to advance core research objectives;
  • Stay at the forefront of scientific innovation and apply insights to ongoing research efforts and to guide experimental priorities with an strategic mindset;
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards for laboratory conduct, safety, and material handling;
  • Take responsibility for laboratory organizational activities;
  • Support the personal and technical development of junior staff members;
  • Play a key role in cross-functional project leadership and external collaborations.

About you

Education:

  • Ph.D in immunology or a related field, with 3+ years of postdoctoral and/or industry research experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in investigating inflammatory disease pathway biology in both humans and murine models with proven publication track record in top-tier scientific journals;
  • Proficiency with single-cell technologies (e.g., advanced flow cytometry, single cell sequencing), genomic editing and molecular biology techniques;
  • Working knowledge of multiparametric data analysis, including integration and interpretation of high-dimensional datasets from flow cytometry and omics methodologies using statistical and computational tools;
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in cell biology, molecular biology, immunology and mammalian cell culture.

  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and effectively within timelines;
  • Collaborate in a highly matrixed global environment;
  • Proactive, creative, and science-driven mindset with a focus on impact;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.

Languages:

  • English (writing and speaking) required. Basic French speaking skills welcome but not mandatory.
