The overall responsibility of the Market Development Manager (MDM) is to identify market development opportunities, structure D&Ls, initiate market models that cater to share gain/market segment growth and incrementally grow the SPM International business to ensure financial goals and objectives are reached. The MDM will be responsible for building and executing new GTM strategies, structuring Strategic D&Ls, enabling market development tactics for sales and marketing teams, and providing support to sales teams, across International markets.

What will you be doing?

  • You will build and execute a collaborative plan in International markets to identify complementary portfolio opportunities and execute on strategic portfolio partnerships that enable business growth, contributing to a healthy return on the market development strategy.
  • You will be leading market development strategy and offering development and market competitor reviews.
  • Engaging with customers on new portfolio growth areas and local beauty products, and leading local teams to create relevant market models, value proposition and positioning.
  • You will develop and standardize market specific offerings around enabling technology, closely collaborate and align with marketing team to build business case, developing projects, targeted campaigns, supporting promotions to ensure adoption of market development activities, as well as working with Sales teams, acting as a single point of contact.
  • Providing input into growth strategies, including annual planning exercises, target operating model reviews, etc.
  • You will have the opportunity to contribute to market trends, collaborate with BU, market development, KPIs/GTM reporting for data-led decisions.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Wide medical device experience in key account sales and/or marketing and business/market development, including D&Ls.
  • Bachelors and Masters Degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • Familiar with Sports Medicine payers, providers, patients, physicians in key Europe markets.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Arthroscopy solutions.
  • Proven leader in leading sales, marketing, business development and/or driving product and solution adoption with partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Technical and/or operational background with experience managing projects.
  • Driven, strategic, independent and critical thinking.
  • Meticulous and responsible with strong analytical, organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work well under demanding situations with tight timelines.
  • Able to cultivate trust and credibility with peers and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Customer-oriented personality and good team player, strong work ethic, results-oriented, flexible, patient and adaptable; persuasive and diplomatic.
  • Fluency in English, German or Spanish will be a plus.
