Job Description

Major accountabilities:

  • Lead and execute defined workpackages of medium/low complexity, or high complexity worpackages with supervision, aiming the development of stable, bioequivalent, robust and cost competitive dosage forms.
  • Design and manage experiments/batches, provide related scientific documentation
  • Plan and execute experiments in agreement with quality risk management and Good Development Practice/GMP
  • Assists in the preparation of and reviews the technological part of dossie
  • Connect development data of different analytical origin of low/medium complexity, or high complexity with supervision, into meaningful conclusions
  • Actively support development of hard to make pharmaceutical product
  • Communicate, address and solve problems (e.g. deviations and unexpected results from experiments) within own and broader area of responsibility, communicate effectively across organizational interfaces, lead the transfer of know-how or procedures to other departments or external contractors, including troubleshooting and on-site training, may require travel.
  • Report and present scientific/technical results internally and contribute to publications, presentations and patents.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • BSc., MSc or higher scientific degree with relevant professional experience or Apprenticeship in industry (or equivalent technical education) with min. 6 years relevant experience in industry
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus
  • Relevant experience from development of final dosage forms
  • Strong scientific skills allowing the drawing of accurate assumptions from limited data to assess the next step in a development program
  • An understanding of experiment and validation design and the requirements when documenting protocols for these exercises
  • An understanding of the parameters involved in scaling up of formulation processes
  • Technical/scientific protocol and report writing skills
  • DoE (Design of Experiments), QbD (Quality by design) and quality risk management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Good knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g. MS Office, statistical programs)
