(Senior/Principal) Scientist - Formulation and Drug Delivery

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead scientific projects in the area of advanced formulation and drug delivery as subject matter expert
• Develop and optimize innovative formulations
• Design formulation and manufacturing processes using Quality by Design (QbD) principles
• Proactively engage with the scientific community and stay up to date with recent developments in drug delivery
• Write scientific publications and funding proposals
• Actively exchange with clients during ongoing projects and in the context of acquiring new ones

Requirements

• A technical or natural science Master´s degree and a PhD, with 2 – 5 years research experience in a relevant field
• Experience in the formulation of oral solid dosage forms, particularly in the area of coating
• Experience with formulation and manufacturing of biologics (proteins, peptides, monoclonal antibodies, oligonucleotides) of great advantage
• Knowledge of spray drying processes
• Experience with material characterization and analytical techniques
• Proven track record in conducting research projects
• Professional conduct and strong communication skills when interacting with international clients, partners, and colleagues
• Detail-oriented, data-driven and a strong team player
• Interest in and experience with top-level, goal-oriented research at the interface of basic science and industrial application
