Job Description
As part of our increasingly data-driven Research and Development organization, we are creating a new position for a passionate and skilled Clinical Data Scientist/Biostatistician to join our clinical development team dedicated to cosmetic products.
The candidate will be involved in building and implementing our new department digital transformation. More specifically, this role will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex datasets to support the development, testing, and optimization of cosmetic products. This role requires expertise in data science and analysis, statistical modeling, AI and machine learning, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of clinical development, particularly in the cosmetics industry, would be a plus.
The role reports to Director, Global Clinical Innovation and Skin Evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, implement and maintain department digital transformation strategy with Director of Clinical Innovation & Skin evaluation and Head of Department;
- Analyze large clinical study datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can guide product development;
- Develop and implement predictive models and algorithms to improve product efficacy and safety;
- Collaborate with clinical researchers and product development teams to design experiments and validate cosmetic formulations;
- Contribute to the drafting of study protocols, identify key efficacy criteria, and develop real-time dashboards for data monitoring;
- Work with our preferred vendors to ensure data quality and integrity by developing and applying guidelines for data collection and processing, as well as automating data collection;
- Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and facilitate decision-making;
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in data science and clinical research.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Biostatistics or Engineering;
- At least 2 years of successful experience in clinical data analysis, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models;
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, as well as data visualization tools (R Shiny, Power BI);
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements in the cosmetics industry;
- Experience in digital transformation within the healthcare sector would be a plus;
- Understanding of cosmetic product development and formulation.
