The Role
Quotient Sciences are recruiting Manufacturing Scientists at our Alnwick site, Northumberland.
The Drug Product Manufacturing team at Alnwick manufacture small scale batches of oral and intravenous clinical products for clinical trials on behalf of our global clients.

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Participate in the manufacture, packaging and labelling of various dosage forms such as oral/intravenous for clinical trials;
- Dispense APIs, excipients, drug products, IMPs, and packaging materials for clinical use and maintain GMP stocks as required;
- Prepare and complete documentation associated with the manufacture and supply of clinical products;
- Record work in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies/procedures and, where appropriate, client requirements;
- Participate in the cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of the GMP manufacturing facility, utilities and equipment;
- As guided/requested, participate in process development studies or the manufacture of non-clinical batches to assist in the development of clinical formulations or the transfer of clinical formulations into the GMP facility;
- Participate in the upkeep of the GMP material inventory including ordering, goods receipt, storage and stock control, liaising as appropriate with the Quality Control and microbiology teams;
- Work with due regards to health and safety of self and others;
- Work flexibly across the site to meet business needs.
The Candidate
- The ideal candidate will ideally have a BSc or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline;
- Experience in the manufacturing of clinical formulations and working in a GMP regulated facility/manner;
- A background in drug product or drug substance manufacturing;
- Experience in small batch production for clinical trials;
- Will be able to troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing challenges;
- You will have good written and oral communication skills and flexible approach to new work challenges;
- Aseptic manufacturing experience and knowledge of the drug development process is advantageous.
