Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Director for our department R&D Reagents – Chemical Biology to lead and inspire a team of highly skilled managers, scientists, and technical professionals for supporting our mission of making cancer history.

Your role is pivotal in driving the development of cutting-edge technologies and products within our research business fields Cell Separation, Flow Cytometry, Cell Imaging, and Cell Culture;
You shape the planning and execution of our business strategy and project development goals by setting priorities and presenting the results to senior management;
You will drive innovation and identify new opportunities for product and technology development and work globally with cross-functional teams, academic research partners, and industrial collaborators;
You are part of an interdisciplinary Chemical Biology team including chemists, biologists, immunologists, and will lead and continuously improve a comprehensive chemistry team to achieve project objectives and agreed deliverables in time;
You act as thought leader in our R&D department by inspiring our teams, presenting research findings at conferences, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and filing new intellectual property.

Qualifications

You are passionate about advancing and cutting-edge science and have the experience to lead ground-breaking R&D initiatives in a fast-growing environment.

You have a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry or a related scientific discipline and have gained 10+ years of industrial R&D experience in life sciences;
You have a track record of building high-performing teams and developing innovative reagent technologies combined with strong strategic business planning and project management skills and can use your skills to present these efforts to cross-functional teams and the senior management;
You have extensive knowledge and experience in leading interdisciplinary teams at the interface of chemistry and biology to drive complex projects to completion and are familiar with modern leadership styles;
You have a broad network of academic key opinion leaders and industry partners in the life sciences field and a proven track record of filling intellectual property and scientific publications;
Your organizational talent has already been proven in a fast-growing team and your excellent communication skills in an international environment complete your profile.
