Responsibilities
Exciting tasks await you – Join our team and take on an exciting opportunity to coordinate global regulatory efforts. As a Regulatory Affairs Manager, you'll play a crucial role in managing compliance with evolving regulations like REACH, offering a challenging yet rewarding professional environment. In detail, you will:
- Coordinate global activities related to REACH (-like) regulations, encompassing:
- Ensuring compliance with REACH for the EU and UK;
- Implementing KKDIK (REACH for Türkiye);
- Assisting with the adoption of India REACH and other new REACH-like regulations;
- Providing OR services for the EU, TR, UK, etc.;
- Managing the "Letter of Access" process and tracking substance volumes.
- Develop strategies for the BYK regulatory legal entity concept;
- Support in the development of production/purchasing strategy;
- Manage consultants and costs effectively;
- Offer responsive support for both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant provisions;
- Engage with key industry trade bodies and consortia;
- Act as the primary point of contact for national or regional authorities and regulatory agency officials;
- Provide consultation on the innovation pipeline.
The contractually agreed place of work can be determined after consultation. Our head office is in Wesel.
Requirements
With this profile, you convince us – Are you ready to make an impact in global regulatory compliance? We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager with a strong understanding of EU REACH regulations and experience in managing complex compliance processes. Additionally, you bring:
- A university degree with a focus on chemistry and a strong understanding of polymer chemistry;
- Very good understanding of EU REACH regulation and familiarity with other REACH-like regulations;
- At least 5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs;
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP;
- Experience in setting up/maintaining EU REACH dossiers in the IUCLID system;
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken; German is a plus;
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, consultants, and authorities;
- Exceptional analytical and time management abilities;
- Ability to work independently and under time constraints;
- Great team player mentality and the motivation to work in international teams;
- Willingness to travel to our head office in Wesel.
