Provision of scientific and technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to achieve corporate goals for challenging research projects within biologics early drug development;
Establishing and managing research projects as project scientist as well as scientific project manager;
Development, execution and optimization of protein productions for downstream applications (fit-for-purpose);
Characterization and evaluation of drug candidates by state of the art biochemical and biophysical methods;
Evaluation of new technology/equipment to constantly improve biologics platform;
Preparation of all relevant project documentation (i.e. project plans, SOPs, scientific presentations, technical reports), their review and training;
Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers and business partners.

PhD in biochemistry or related field with an excellent proven track record;
A minimum of 2 years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry with regard to the development of protein therapeutics in terms of ICH Q10;
Good acquaintance with transient protein expression in mammalian cell culture, purification process optimization and in-depth physicochemical characterization (i.e. using HPLC methods) of antibody-based candidates;
Experience with non-antibody based biologics as asset;
Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details;
Independent, service-oriented way of working, with an outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills.
