Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and implement LC-MS/MS bioanalytical methods for small molecules, peptides, and/or biomarkers within biological matrices
• Troubleshoot issues related to the bioanalytical conduct of studies and find resolutions in a timely manner. Communicate issues to key partners with risks and mitigation strategies.
• Identification and structural elucidation of non-radiolabeled metabolites for small molecules.
• Routinely operate LC-MS/MS instrumentation, including maintenance, troubleshooting, identification and resolution of instrument and assay problem
• Investigate, evaluate, and implement new analytical methodologies and technologies to meet challenging assay requirements while maintaining effective resource utilization.
• Draft study protocols/plans, acquisition methods, and study reports
• Support/assist the scientific team in the preparation of study proposals, statements of work and cost estimates for existing and prospective clients
• Assist the scientific team in coordinating/scheduling research activities for acquired projects
• Explore, propose, and justify new/expanded service capabilities in conjunction with Scientific Staff
• Continuous professional growth

Your Background

• Graduate degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, pharmacy or biotechnology
• PhD in analytical chemistry preferred
• Experience using or knowledge of LC-MS/MS techniques and sample preparation techniques. LC-MS/MS can be trained if familiar with other techniques
• Computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft Project)
