Sr Scientific Communication Manager, THV EMEAC&LA

As a Senior Scientific Communications Manager for the Edwards Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business you will:

  • Be primarily responsible for researching and developing the clinical body of evidence to support and influence product and business unit development activities, competitive strategies, and educational/promotional materials for multiple high value product launches, programs and initiatives in the business unit;
  • Regular preparation of literature reviews;
  • Develop internal scientific communication tools;
  • Attend major congresses and local ones while coordinating scientific reports;
  • Participate to train new and existing field representatives related to scientific/clinical content;
  • Ensure approval of external customer facing scientific communication decks;
  • Identify future topics of interest (also develop an intelligence on topics that might be occupied by the competition);
  • Contribute to develop partnership with HCPs for scientific content creation and briefing;
  • Support creation of impactful material for digital channel used for therapy development;
  • Closely work with the marketing regional teams to implement marketing strategy and tactics;
  • Partner with marketing managers to support execution of key scientific related programs in the countries.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in biomedical engineering or post-graduate degree in a similar scientific area or equivalent with experience in scientific work;
  • PHD degree in biomedical engineering or in another scientific area is a plus;
  • Experience with literature research;
  • English proficiency and local languages are required;
  • 10+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry - Med Tech experience strongly preferred - Interventional cardiology experience strongly preferred;
  • 5+ years’ professional International experience in a scientific function.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to effectively communicate (variety of audiences, including sales, clinical & marketing leadership);
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment;
  • Have an established foundation of scientific credibility based on integrity and a track record of achievement in delivering on large and/or multiple projects and influencing business outcomes;
  • Consistently pushes her/himself and others to achieve challenging goals and objectives; can be counted on to achieve goals and is both top & bottom-line oriented;
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team;
  • Travel up to 40%.
