Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure commercial Drug Product batches are manufactured, packed, released and shipped in time:
    • Create a weekly Operational Plan for semi-finished and finished Drug Product to follow up on the manufacturing and packaging schedule and define required action items;
    • Ensure a timely arrival of Drug Substance shipments and allocate Drug Substance to the Drug Product batches, taking into consideration the different regulatory and market restrictions;
    • Define a shipment schedule ensuring global target inventory levels are met;
    • Develop an analytical testing plan in sync with the manufacturing schedule while ensuring flexibility and pursuing cost effectiveness;
    • Maintain a monthly KPI Dashboard to monitor and communicate status/progress to the team and (senior) management;
    • Coordinate all (supply chain) activities in alignment and communicating with the internal and external stakeholders (CMOs, CMC, QA, analytical PM, logistics);
    • Act as single point of contact with CMO’s.
  • Schedule Drug Product batches and packaging runs with CMO’s, create on monthly basis a constrained supply plan balancing supply, demand, inventory and safety stock targets and provide a rolling forecast to CMOs;
  • Drive the commercial artwork process in collaboration with different stakeholders (RA, QA, CMO) in line with internal procedures and timelines, and CMO packaging schedule;
  • Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning - based on the latest forecast data collected through S&OP process fine-tune/update the supply plan and production schedule and where required do scenario planning;
  • Execute quarterly inventory reconciliations, investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies; participate during (virtual) physical stock counts with CMO’s
  • Support the maintenance of argenx’s ERP system, including maintenance of ERP master data and timely transaction processing
  • Identify and develop necessary supply chain standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Identify, execute and drive business improvements by challenging the status quo and suggesting continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Science or Supply Chain Management;
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of supply chain experience, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry;
  • Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end planning and supply chain interdependencies with multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Team player with an analytical mindset and deliver-oriented focus;
  • Flexibility in combination with a proactive mindset;
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus;
  • GDP/GMP experience is plus.
