- As Group Head Statistical Programming, you will play a key role in providing leadership and strategic inputs for all statistical programming projects within your group (rare disease and medical affairs), in alignment with the department strategy
- You will assume accountability for high quality and timely programming deliverables, with optimal resource utilization
- You will execute the local strategy, designing new ways of working and contribute to the digitalization of the statistical programming activities that will enable to achieve our goals
- Key responsibilities include people management, stakeholder engagement, lead global department initiatives and represent statistical programming in cross-functional initiatives
- You will be supported by a Biostatistics and Programming Department that fosters people development, offering compelling career opportunities that value diversity of thought and abilities, to optimize overall success and have a meaningful impact on patients’ lives
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of statistical programmers and programming project leaders, including senior programming project leaders
- Work closely with global programming management to define and implement global sourcing and resourcing strategy and planning
- Promote teamwork, quality, operational efficiency, and innovation
- Collaborate effectively with lead statisticians and statistical programmers to ensure high quality and timely statistical programming deliverables; collaborate and influence within department and across different functional areas to ensure programming needs are met regarding source study data and digital support
- Lead/contribute to the global coordination efforts to identify, develop, innovate/automate and implement departmental standards, applications, processes and trainings
- Manage outsourcing engagements
- Lead key departmental initiatives; represent statistical programming team in cross functional WGs/initiatives
PROFILE/REQUIREMENTS
- Bac + 4 and at least 10+ years of experience preferably in processing clinical trial data in the pharmaceutical industry
- People management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and/or influence decision making
- Resolve conflicts with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively as either a team leader or a team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in an English global environment
- Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical clinical development, global regulatory submission processes, clinical data standards and advancement in clinical data processing/analysis techniques
- Master of Science degree or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Science or related field
