Your new role at Genmab

As Manager, Development Materials, within the CMC Science & Technologies department, your team will be responsible for providing high quality critical reagents to enable the development of antibody therapeutic candidates. The activities of the team include purification, labelling and analysis of antibody and antigen batches. The quality of the materials and data are critical to ensure the quality and compliance of assays used in development of antibody candidates. Currently we are in a growing phase with a ‘knock your socks off’ pipeline of new antibody products and the Development Materials team is being newly established within the CMC Science & Technologies department as a result of the growth of our clinical portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated by quality, teamwork and results, and will collaborate with connecting teams to ensure that the correct materials are provided with the correct documentation and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • You will build and lead a team of 4-5 purification, biochemistry and release research associates;
  • You are the scientific and quality conscience of your team. With your up-to-date knowledge and vision you represent the biochemistry and QC expertise within our organization;
  • You interact with connecting teams, project managers, subject matter experts and CMOs/CROs to provide the required quality of data and reports;
  • You propose new technologies and are responsible for their implementation;
  • You work with external and internal parties to implement automated solutions to improve productivity or expand our capabilities;
  • You proactively look for ways to increase efficiency and optimize quality of work processes.

You have relevant experience and are highly motivated to lead a biochemistry/purification team to support the development of Genmab’s clinical candidates. You are focused on achieving goals that are important for the team and our organization. You take the initiative, enjoy working in a team, and inspire others with your enthusiasm.

Moreover, you meet the following professional requirements:

  • You have completed an MSc with at least three to five years of work experience or hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other allied disciplines with several years of experience in the area of protein purification and biochemistry;
  • Work experience with sample management in a biotechnology company is an advantage;
  • You are interested in late-stage development of antibody products;
  • You are used to working with a quality system. Interest or experience with building work-flows in LIMS systems is an advantage;
  • You are flexible, well-organized and can lead several projects at once, and you are able to work to tight deadlines;
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
