The Director, Technical Business Management is responsible for leading the local Technical Business Team at Anagni, supporting the European Biologics business unit and site Operations, by managing the interactions at the site with existing customers. Providing on-site support for new customers on their BD opportunities and making sure that the intercompany processes between Catalent and the site are effective.

The Role

  • Lead the site technical business team to be an integral member of the European business team, working closely with Contract Management & Commercial Operations, General Manager, NPI, supply chain director, and BD team to identify and pursue current fiscal year revenue opportunities with existing end customers. Supports Contract Management & Commercial Operations in developing the delivery of budgeted customer revenue numbers for a site through participation in the site and executive S&OP processes;
  • Develop the site-end customer relationships at a superior level;
  • Provides support to BD and/or Contract Management & Commercial Operations members, during negotiations with end customers, to contribute to a commercial success;
  • Cooperates with BD and/or Contract Management & Commercial Operations to execute new contracts;
  • Provides appropriate oversight in preparation of the technical scope and costing of new quotations for end customers. Monitors the function KPIs;
  • Ensure a superior level of communication occurs between all the parties involved in the business processes (end customers, Catalent HQ, BD, Site);
  • Lead the customer visits at the site in coordination with the General Manager;
  • Lead the site team to implement cost-effective practices and processes, delivering value to end customers.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in science, business administration or another related field;
  • Master of Business Administration preferred;
  • Significant relevant experience (7 years+) in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing, quality or regulatory, general business management, technical project management and analysis;
  • Relevant industry knowledge of drug development, analytical research and development, project scale-up, product manufacturing, quality, validations, and regulatory;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead site-based and/or remote teams;
  • Experienced contract negotiator;
  • Analytical, financial, and statistical skills;
  • Customer services skills;
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems;
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English and Italian.
