The Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (www.sakk.ch) employs more than 70 coworkers at the SAKK Coordinating Center in Bern. According to our vision “We bring progress to cancer care“. We are a non-profit organization conducting clinical trials in oncology since 1965. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team immediately or upon agreement as Head of Clinical Project Management 70-80%.

Responsibilities:

You will…

  • lead and develop a team in Clinical Project Management;
  • oversee the conduct of trials (phase I - III) and registries in compliance with quality standards such as ICH GCP, local regulations and SAKK SOPs, on schedule and on budget;
  • be responsible for budget compliance (team and project management);
  • develop and monitor departmental goals and team-specific KPIs;
  • contribute to the strategic development of SAKK;
  • promote constructive communication and collaboration with internal as well as external partners;
  • advise internal and external partners in the area of clinical operations and support them in find- ing solutions;
  • negotiate with pharmaceutical and medical device companies, if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or international equivalent required - Life Sciences or equivalent Health Care related experience preferred;
  • 5+ years of leadership and project management;
  • 3+ years of experience in conducting clinical studies I-III, experience with registry studies an advantage;
  • Strong business and organizational awareness;
  • Understanding of change management;
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment with current status of national and international regu- lations and ethical guidelines;
  • Resilient, team-oriented leader with assertiveness, self-motivation and the ability to be proactive and solution-oriented;
  • Very good communication skills and stakeholder management;
  • Fluency in English and German (oral and written), other language skills are an asset.
