Job Purpose/Summary:

The purpose of this Project Management role is to coordinate activities related to client studies that include customer studies are initiated and invoiced timely, and customer requests throughout the study are resolved.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  1. Initiate new projects with clients and Business Development. Ensure client has key contacts and coordinate shipping of client materials to R&D facilities. Determine revenue recognition principle for each project;
  2. Point of contact with client throughout the project life cycle for administrative and logistics questions or issues;
  3. Prepare invoicing documentation, including final cost summaries. Coordinate invoicing with Finance department;
  4. Track study progress with R&D. Prepare monthly revenue recognition data, corresponding to study progress and milestones;
  5. Work with R&D and Business Development on project scope changes and ensure customer amendments are in place where necessary;
  6. Respond to audit requests from Internal and External financial auditors and Quality and Regulatory teams;
  7. Prepare ad-hoc reporting as requested by Site or PM management;
  8. Resolve issues with customers regarding study costs and invoicing issues;
  9. Actively participate in group meetings and training with global PM teams;
  10. Special projects as assigned by manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • B.S. or M.S. with at least 1-2 years of experience in related areas, a science major is desirable.

Skill Requirements:

  1. Team player, able to work with various groups across the organization;
  2. Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients;
  3. Attention to details, good interpersonal skills, good learning skills;
  4. Good understanding of project management process and concept;
  5. Advanced computer literacy in MS Word, MS Project and MS Excel;
  6. Be able to work independently with minimum supervision, good problem solving skills;
  7. Comfortable using computers, including an advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, e-mail, and internet;
  8. Exceptional organizational, timemanagement, and prioritization skills;
  9. Able to multi-task with a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy;
  10. Willing and able to work within a Quality System with oversight by QA and other regulatory bodies;
  11. Able to find, read, and understand relevant scientific literature;
  12. Willing and able to work under the pressure of deadlines and find solutions to meet timelines;
  13. Able to work across teams by being a flexible team player;
  14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for long periods of time;
  • Prolonged computer usage;
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs;
  • Normal office environment.
