The Neurology Account Manager will work across Switzerland to develop commercial relationships with relevant stakeholders and decision makers in order to maximize product access and sales within the identified key accounts/hospitals.
Assess, establish and maintain contacts with Paediatric & Adult Neurologists, Paediatric & Adult Epileptologists plus other selected HCPs who are actively involved in the treatment of epilepsy
Assess, establish and maintain relationships with decision makers & ensure prescribers have access to prescribe Epidyolex within its licensed indication
Interact and communicate with the customers on a regular basis to receive useful market intelligence data (protocols, habits, new clinical trials, competitive landscape) to develop a thorough understanding of the designated region & key competitors
Develop & elaborate a strategy to manage the designated region, set objectives for account management (proposed sales volume, investments), targeting and segmentation
Execute the tactical plan to optimally manage the accounts as agreed with the line manager
Promote Epidyolex in a compliant manner in accordance with the Swiss code & within legal boundaries according to GW’s marketing and sales strategy to reach agreed targets
Complete reporting to line manager & senior positions and maintain an accurate CRM database in a timely manner
Represent GW Pharma at national and international events and congresses, when needed, and create a positive image of the company with relevant customer groups.
Self-dependent planning, organization and execution of Swiss educational sessions for relevant healthcare professionals
Actively look for cross-functional collaboration, both within Switzerland and the European Regional Markets Team. Work in close collaboration and in full transparency with the MSL and other personnel.
Collect and report pharmacovigilance information according to internal SOPs
Obey data protection law according GW policy and follow GW SOPs and compliance policies
Maintain relationships and negotiate contracts and services in accordance with the overall sales strategy and set up a network of potential partners
Manage and follow up the practical organization of the sales & logistics process (order taking, delivery, assistance, invoicing, stock levels in hospitals, etc.) in coordination with the supply and logistics service.
Key attributes/Skills/education - ESSENTIAL
Minimum 10 years Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical sales experience with national or significant sub-national role(s)
University Life Science degree preferred
Demonstrated track record of successful product revenue launch and/or growth
Proven ability to elaborate and implement country level account/territory planning
Demonstrated ability to successfully seek out and qualify leads and profile new accounts
Strong preference for one or more of following:
Promotion experience in the Orphan Area
Promotion experience in the Neurology
Promotion experience in Epilepsy
Demonstrated track record of negotiation and product inclusion within local/hospital prescribing guidelines
Ability to work effectively independently and in an interdependent, team-oriented environment with a Medical Science Liaison, on a consistent basis
Ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centres
Effective country language verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities
Proficiency in English, German and French
Microsoft Office experience essential (Outlook, Power point, Word, Excel) and Reporting CRM Tools
Knowledge and understanding of the Swiss pharmaceutical regulations and law
Ability to travel across Switzerland on a regular basis which will include frequent overnight and weekend travel
