Execution of the Local Medical Plan in close collaboration with in-house medical functions
Development and maintenance of collaborative relationships with current and future medical thought leaders
Drive scientific exchange by providing up-to-date information on BMS compounds on request, respond to scientific questions and requests posed by HCPs, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines and directives.
Actively assess the medical landscape, collect and communicate meaningful medical insights (interface to various cross-functional internal colleagues).
Understand the competitive landscape and actively prepare to address informational needs of customers.
Assist in the initial and ongoing medical/scientific area and product specific training and provide key scientific updates to internal stakeholders
Continuously update own knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials and scientific activities.
Support clinical trial (interventional and non-interventional studies; investigator sponsored trials)
Requirements
PhD, MD, PharmD or science graduate with substantial and relevant pharmaceutical experience
Previous experience in MS/Neurology or broad medical background
Experience in clinical and medical affairs
Experience in translating complex clinical data into compelling messages to help physicians best serve their patients
Excellent communication and presentation skills to present scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals
External customer focus with strong networking capabilities
Be able to work independently in a field based role
Good planning, organization and project management skills
High proficiency in problem solving ability and strong scientific analytical skills
Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in German and English, spoken and written
Strong identification with BMS’s values
Willingness to travel (national and international travel); 65% field-based activities
