A key member of the commercial team, the Associate Director for Global Commercial Programs will work cross-functionally to implement commercial strategy and planning within BioNTech’s growing portfolio of clinical programs. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement a Global Commercial Program Framework across all therapeutic areas and all commercially relevant product candidates as well as assists in budget planning and preparation
  • Leads commercial program management teams in the implementation of commercial objectives and directly supports the VP Global Commercial in implementing the global commercial strategies as well as the senior management, including C-level, by providing reports and status updates
  • Works in concert with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Production, IT, Finance and Legal during commercial launch phases to deliver assigned commercial products to the market and where necessary, leads all aspects of critical launch or development workstreams
  • Creates and maintains excellent relationships and networks within the company, particularly with key stakeholders in the clinical programs as well as collaborates and leads across functional areas at the affiliate/country and global level
  • Acts as the key information hub and source of commercial knowledge for all assigned programs and develops or implements appropriate tools for the tracking and monitoring of the status of commercial programs

What you have to offer

  • Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or the Life-Sciences with more than 2 years of experience in a managing position
  • Project Management qualification (including project planning software) with experience in leading complex cross-functional projects at the project or program management level with proven results
  • Strong leadership and team management skills as well as the abilities to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, to handle multiple tasks and to set priorities for fulfilling expectations under tight timelines
  • Solid scientific and/or clinical understanding and experience in a global role, preferably in oncology or immunology as well as a track record of taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion with minimal external supervision
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills as well as German language proficiency added with fluency in English
