Head of Pharmacovigilance Technology

Ferring Pharmaceuticals

Denmark

Do you want impact and influence far beyond the average?

If your skills and experience comprise GVP knowledge and safety database technology and you are looking for an opportunity for making an impact far beyond average, this job is what you want. You will play a pivotal role in upholding Ferring’s license to operate and be a key driver in introducing and implementing new functionalities and technologies within PV – to the benefit of the global Ferring organisation.

Be responsible for our safety database and drive new technology development agenda

As Head of our PV Technology team you will work on two main tracks: One is to ensure the maintenance and development of our safety database with functionality and compliance as your primary guiding lights. The other is – in collaboration with our IT Business Partner - to introduce, implement and leverage new technologies. We focus especially on turning manual processes and documents into automated processes, so we can spend our time on more value adding activities. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Lead, support, motivate and develop your team of four PV/technical specialists
  • Maintain and develop our safety database including keeping it compliant at all times
  • Ensure compliant electronic safety reporting to regulatory agencies
  • Maintain and develop data retrieval and signal detection
  • Develop strategic plans and guidelines for optimisation and development projects/initiatives
  • Monitor, assess and implement new regulatory standards, data models and technologies
  • As head of a small team with comprehensive responsibility, you will work both from a strategic helicopter perspective as well as in-depth hands-on. Your new workplace will be Ferring International PharmaScience Center in Copenhagen.

Solid PV experience and IT-understanding from GxP environment

We are looking for a profile with strong leadership and people skills. You must be able to build a high performance culture of motivated team members and build relations to a wide number of stakeholders across the global organisation. Related to this, you must be good at communicating complex knowledge to an audience without your understanding of the (PV/technology) subject at hand. Especially, your database responsibility calls for your systematic and structured way of working. As driver of a tech agenda we take it for granted that you like to keep yourself updated and in general like to expand your knowledge and skills. Additionally, your CV comprises:

  • Substantial experience from working in a GxP environment and in pharmacovigilance
  • Solid track record from successful project implementation within GAMP/computer system validation
  • Leadership experience – maybe acquired via project management tasks
  • Preferably a university degree in life science
